Your words like sweet tree sap
Drop onto my lips
Drip down my throat
They harden
I have to believe them

You have been here before
But your wore a different face
And brandished yourself a new name
But I know you
So I let you in

You ripped wallpaper from my walls
Smashed my windows
Tore up my carpets
Broke my bed
Yet I let you in

You burnt my books
Shattered my mirrors
Cut up my clothes
Buried my rings
Yet I let you in

You pour tree sap down my throat
Until my words were your words
My smile was your smile
My body was your body
So I let you in
