Twice shy, once bitten.

Edthepoet

Go throw your runes
N read what they say
Go deal your cards
N then take no blame
For if the future is written
Twice shy and once bitten
Who's story is it anyway?

Go sow your seeds
N hear your screamed name
Go tend your needs
N then hide your shame
For if your truth is hidden
Twice shy and once bitten
It's destined to light the way

Go steal their hearts
N throw them away
Go get their laughs
N drown in your pain
For if the shoe is fitting
Twice shy and once bitten
Wear it till its worn away
