I caught you out before you could even leave
Do what you want whenever you need to please
Back to being beautiful, well that could never be
With a heart pulling failure sail over seven seas.
Left your lover lying on the bed, left half dead
Better pick roses blue and maybe love instead
You never knew how to show your horrid face
Why don't you ever let love put you in your place?
Wedding bells and haemorrhages stop the chime
Write it in your letter, baby, but post it any time
So close your heart, open your mind to take it in
Come over here and just take a look at loves grin.
Lonely lovers look larger than what they really are
Stunners in full bloom blooming in a shining star
Weathered skin drips a kiss and those crows feet
Fit for Kings and Queens and a romance to keep.
Now you need a younger man who lives in town
Smoking fat cigars, drinking Whiskey, teeth brown
The hickey on his neck and the lipstick down below
Runaway if you're free, but you've nowhere to go.
And when they say "lay on the bed" don't act dead
Look at where you've been, dance with me instead
Just a last chance guess to know if you really care
Hanging idle pictures on your wall you've shared.
And this is the last time that I'd tried to pay my price
Nothing happens on this land of love but, not quite
I tucked her in to see if she wanted me somehow
Her quiet gestures suggested let's take things slow.
And as each mouthful of medicine tasted sweet
The glint in her eyes falling upon a dreamy sleep
And as I held her hand and life was running thin
As one eye opened she remembered how to grin.
Those were the days, my love, my dearest heart
Now the ebb has flowed hoping for it to restart
But the mirror didn't mist up from what I could see
That this lover did end up by sailing the seven seas.
And now that I'm even closer than I'd ever thought
By joining her in Heaven with everything she taught
Now we're holding hands in love just like any other
Just goes to prove to wait in patience for your lover.

There are too many minor grammatical errors here to go through them all one by one. However, one particularly egregious one is your misuse of the verb "to lay". You mean "lie", not "lay".
Thank you, Barry, Indeed my grammatical errors are a force to be reckoned with. With the failure to learn these so simple mistakes you have pointed out. I will, after reading your comment make amends as discussed.
Hope you weren't offended. A bit of proof-reading would be good!
No offending was committed, rather more like good advice to tidy up my grammar...!!
