A life lived.
In past, filled with regrets. Of things not done, of times already passed.
Inescapable, unchangeable.
In future, filled with anxiety. Of fears not conquered, of chances not taken.
Overwhelming, doubtful.
Yet in present, filled with meaning. Of joys experienced, of becoming a person.
Amazing, indescribable.
A life lived.

You do sum up quite concisely the mindset as we both look back and forward with the onset of our later years. Well written if i may say so.
