A Foot On The Moon...

kevin browne

A foot on the Moon where the Bluebells chime
A tribute to Voltaire for reasoning with rhyme
With the believing being better starting with A
But, what happens to the vulnerable each day.

A heart drops to the feet with pain everywhere
Flower love glides as you learn to breathe air
A silent dewdrop got caught in someone's eye
Clouds rain down as the Sun opens up the sky.

A single suggestion about this wonderful life
A star that twinkles towards you every night
As dreams dream along all over the Milky Way
And discovering to teach the child how to play.

In whispers to hear some ghostly beginnings
Thoughts of imaginations taking the winnings
When scrooge had worked out what he'd lost
That world shook up itself for everything it lost.

Terrible tempers persist to strike it all out
Terrible tantrums try to work out the doubt
Yet, still, amongst the butterflies and bees
And the children climb high up in the trees.

Round and round the Earth trying to hold on
A foot in the ocean and another sailor gone
Now onto B because B worked out this place
B painted a picture with its beautiful grace.

Rolled out a red carpet for the one next door
Inviting a cuppa to make welcome all the more
And a foot in the grave where the lonely lay
Thought about that, but think it a certain way.

With a handheld out for the sorrow of its saints
And as heaven shone upon those pearly gates
Life resumes to proper in full bloom with a love
The silence of pain and hurt called from above.

And as the last man stood on the tip of the top
And find the impossibilities of when it will stop
For the creation calls in of some beautiful things
In this life, it matters to remember what it brings.

So sorry the reminder of the past that's gone
Wars, the terror, the death, the atomic bomb
But, you'll realise the day that will last forever
Don't try to be wise and acting out to be clever.

As those teardrops that have fallen into despair
In crying, our fears will leave us in a blank stare
And the end always comes beckoning us all in
And as the flag flies high we'll all give us a grin.

A foot on the Moon where the bluebells chime
Another adventure that brought back the time
A ventured beginnings will start all over again
Hearts all over the truth love repeats the same.
