Fear yourself

Vacancy

The fear I have is of me.

The world seems to control every movement.

I must be blind because I cannot seem to see.

The blade gently traces, is this what I’m meant to be?

I did not know I was so unbalanced.

The fear I have is of me.

Control can not be a guarantee.

This a dream, a nightmare.

I must be blind because I cannot seem to see.

My mind has burns of the third degree.

I am wavering through gentle hands.

The fear I have is of me.

I can see a past I do not want.

Go to the other room to calm my mind.

If I go, I will regret what I do.

I must be blind because I cannot seem to see.

The fear I have is of me.

We can become our own obstacle in life. You made me think of a song from a band called White Lies. It’s called Death, but he sings about how fear takes ahold of him. I think you described that so well here.
