Perspective

blessednloved

Are we Embracing wrong things
With the hope of change
Do we accept what’s skew
While expecting miraculous exchange
Do we say why aren’t you working God
While he’s waiting for us to see
Has everything we have thought been wrong
Every single thing we read

Was the blood enough for the church to change
Or is it business as usual everyday
If I give a tithe and say my prayers
Will I change the church somehow somewhere

I guess not
considering God is the change
Salvation was bought
But the church stays the same

We try to amend
what the world has established
afraid of something new
Because we might miss the mark
Of the men we have cherished

We groan under laws and expectations
We get bitter from exhaustion
Fighting back wild indignation
Limitations on faith
By boasting and building

Searching for wealth
And titles were claiming
Playing our parts
Faux righteousness mainly

Draining our hearts
To be easily burdened
Hanging to scriptures
Or teachings of them

Can’t change our minds
We know better than them
Lost in our doctrine
Like being at sea

I can’t accept the views of you
If they haven’t expressly agreed with me
I’m childish, hard hearted in pain
Gods promises waiting patiently for me to change

Who am I to hang onto a thing
And expect God to work
only to get in His way.
