Freckles

Edthepoet

And I love you
But I've never told you
The fear in my ears
Holds back my fickle tears
But I do love you

And I miss you
But I'll never tell you
The pride in my mind
Holds up my fickle lies
But I do miss you

And I need you
But I'll never show you
The strength in my arms
Holds you from my heart
But I do need you

And I want to
And I know you do
Yet I'm foolish
Yet I'm careful

The summer suns reflection
Leaves perfect imperfections
On your golden brown skin
There's freckles on your face
And I'm done for, in your grace
The way you say my name
When you're shocked at what I say
The way you look away
When I catch your loving gaze
Yes I'm done for, in your grace

Because I love you
But I've never told you....
