Memories of Uranus

Barry Hodges

I just saw Uranus
What a lovely sight!
I just saw Uranus
It gave me great delight.

When I saw Uranus
I stared with all my might;
And I hope to see Uranus
Each and every night.

The Rings of Uranus;
Aren't so very bright;
Use some magnification;
You'll find them there all right.

    An unfortunate name for a planet. We must say 'Your-Runnus', not.....!.

    I wish for the moons of Uranus. Such disclosures afore the naked eye loosen my asteroid belt,

    Good fun, enjoyed this.

    How many times have I looked up from my pillow to see Uranus near me?
    So near I could almost touch it. Or smell it.
