Nothing.
A word, just a word.
A meaningless word
That holds meaning.
Nothing.
Nothing particular
About that word,
Yet it’s also specific.
Nothing.
As in there is no thing.
A binding loneliness
Manifests in that word.
Nothing.
Not a solitary thing
Can provide any hope
There’s more than...
Nothing.

- Comment from author about the poem: It’s not what you might think it’s about. Then again, it is how one interprets it for themselves. Such is the written and spoken word.

So true at face vallue and underneath lies a deeper meaning. It may be taken a number of ways the first that came to mind was poetry itself is just a series of lines not really anything. Words that are empty to some have great meaning to others. (There's more than nothing) Second we are all alone and all else is nothing but our illusions. Lonely alone yet (there's more than nothing) I have a poem on the drawing board with this theme as well and progresses oh so slow it is hard to write about nothing yet you have. This poem deserves more reads my friend.
Thank you Soren for being the first to comment on it! I saw you had commented on a poem on the "recent activity" board. I figured I would check "that poem" our read it, only to realize I wrote it! LOL! Funny how that happened! All the same, thank you for your in depth feedback on this poem. Indeed it is wide open for interpretation and can be taken in any number of ways. Your interpretations are particularly striking and deep. Indeed, I had not even given the "poetry" angle a thought, but that is so true! Thank you, my friend, for the deep, philosophical engagement. 🖤❤️🖤🙏
