Small

poetboy5454

What is the strength of a tear drop?

The might of a single raised fist?

Can a ladybug climb a mountaintop?

Through the rain, will a fire persist?

A blazing sun dries the wet from our eyes

Helpless as we watch hope be monopolized

An unstoppable wind blows us down from the mountaintop

Coughing smoke, a flame withers as its heartbeat stops

A million leaves pushing against a single powerful gale

A million voices stand tall against a deafening despair

A million hands rise, one after another, and begin to scale

The mountaintop, where an inferno begins to flare

A million teardrops crash against the ground

The darkness crumples against the light of our sound

Those who were once lost have now been found

Divided they waned, united they stoked a fire that could never be drowned

Beware, for though they are small

If it's a game of winner take all

A million of them will be willing to fall

Moving towards freedom, even if they must crawl
