Honest Faults

railasunshine

Why do you tease me

Why do you look me in the eye

And say things you don’t mean

My hope rises

You let it linger

Then turn your back while it plummets

Is this a game

Is this a tug of war

I don’t need the power

I just want you

Your voice echoing in my ears

Your touch finding my skin

Your body against mine

I want warmth

The kind you contain

Nice one. Your piece today tells it from the woman's angle when the guy had adopted the ploy of "treat 'em mean and keep 'em keen".

I can say with some certainty that this has probably rang true for a lot of women. Well written.
