Beneath the smoke

gerardoprie

I never looked into your eyes again

Can you picture the stars above

And how they come slipping away

From how they gaze the day

While I trembling in pain

I try to seal my fate

While looking up in the sky

Lost the touch

Lost my sight

No seem to find a cure

While you look down to see the flowers

I look inside to see the darkness within me

No light to see your remarks

While I’m here without my mind

I’m lost in the ocean of time

I try to swim to find a place to land

The current strikes me down

While I lost control, I saw your face up in the sky

No way to know if I’m dead or alive

As the water keeps pushing me out

Just to find an ordinary rock

Beneath my clothes on the shore

Sailing in the rocks

I see a message in the rocks

Which tells me to the sail west

To find a statute of gold beneath the rocks

To my amazement is in a place unknown

For mankind, no one seen it before

My mind wonders for a minute

While a seagull takes a dip in our merchandise

To feed the hunger within nature

Can't see the light

Can't touch the moon with my bare hand

Can't jump high to grab the fruit up in the tree

Can't see your eyes while you turn your back

Tell me the night is over

While you tell me goodbye

I say hello to the smoke beneath the rocks.
