About To Disappear

anonymousblue

The lucid pearl of evening

falls into the water of my thought,

between letters and sentences

I drown, electric waves of turquoise

pain, they suffocate me like greedy

lovers.

I'm just a ripple

in the endless blue

and I'm about to disappear.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem was composed in a most unusual fashion for me. I first wrote a brief paragraph using the stream of consciousness technique, then, I picked the images which fascinated me the most and built the poem around them. Hopefully you\\\'ll enjoy it. Thanks a lot.
