shame (ii)

mmoonshine

Notice of absence from mmoonshine
i’m here for a good time, not a long time.

shame (ii)

in a garden full of roses,

whose stems were full of sharp thorns,

a sunflower grew among them.

that girl was a sunflower,

she didn’t need protection.

she didn’t need a thing.

yet,

she was willing to sacrifice some petals,

to be something she wasn’t.

in her eyes,

everyone loved those roses,

and because she wasn’t a rose, she didn’t feel loved.

if that sunflower could make a wish,

i can’t help but wonder,

what would she wish?
