upon an evergreen tree
lies your amber wings
fluttering
so closely next to me.
where sunflowers bloom
under a sapphire sky,
ricochet ballet on my heart,
my sweet butterfly.
one flitter was my heartbeat,
a crosswind to yours.
driftwood to many, but
to me you were more.
you trampled my heart
lost in my weightless
embrace.
bringing a windswept
smile right to my face.
