Preconceptions & Me

GDot

Preconceptions & me was but a dream

Formulated from my mind was so keen

Until anothers minds creation was seen

Fear

Oh dear oh dear

Fear

Please get the fuck away from my ears

Fear

Designed to tell me exactly what I wanted to hear

Fear

Illusion the ultimate minds contusion

Conscious

Light that erodes the darkness

Balance

The beautifully unattainable

Perception

The key to all preconceptions

Individuals

Always seem to do the bare minimal

Projection

In us all creates the world we are manifestin

Fear

It is near it is near

Beer

The temporary bouncer to my......

Tears

Lie dormant behind the happy face that appears

Words

A bridge to the soul, the weight of my preconceptions determines how fast I get home

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is the first poem I wrote after high school. Never liked poetry or writing in general until I found music. I made this on 1-4-20. I have a beat that I made with it as well sound cloud link attached. I made the beat separate from the poem and in a synchronicity type event they intertwined beautifully.
