Awe For Dawn

gerardoprie

The dawn of every morning
The day comes to play
With a child singing under his breath
While an old lady sleep in bed
An old friend comes to pray
Just as the old archer tries his best.

In the forest
I walked miles to find
The tree under which I seem a stone
Where your face is immaculate in stone
I try to imagine a place
To take you before you taken down to town
To be amaze and put in an maze
For people to find you and ask you for a wish
For now stay under the tree
Until I’m back to play for a little while.

As the day crawls to my door
I try to walk by the shore
To find a shell and write a rhyme
And tell you about dawn
I look for shelter and a safe place to hide
As the snake sneaks in behind
My luck begins to take shape and form
Lady Luck where have you gone?

Lost in ancient wilderness
My mind wandered up in the sky
As I see the bird take fly
Every cloud begins to cry
The old archer takes his bow
Looking for dawn, he begins to walk
To the pyramids inserted in the rocks
Looking for a sign
I looked to the clock
She was taken by the wind
From the east, she carried her dreams
Now, I begin to look old.

A new dawn
A new day
Looking for a price
Under the sky
A crown of thorns is put on you
For a final walk to dawn
Ever since we arrive to this land
Many places I’ve been
Many answers I seek
It’s getting near dawn
I need to go back to the land
I must continue the quest
Before gold turns into dust.
