Look within

Take the blade and force it in, sketch your life story into my skin.
Crack me open, like the shell I am, feed me your lies, pretend to give a damn.
Convince me I'm not damaged, and free my mind, promise eternal love, never leave me behind.

Grab my cold hands, and warm them with your breath, and describe me with pretty words, like you're writing Macbeth.
Poison my brain, and send me insane, take it all back, then say it again.

Toy with my feelings, pluck out my raw emotions, and mix them together with a stirring motion.
You can laugh as you do it, what does it matter to me? I'm stuck in this cycle, no longer need to be free.

Rub my cheeks, with the softest touch, and keep doing it until you uncover my blush.
Stare into my eyes, the door way to my soul, and realize there's nothing there, just a deep gaping hole.
Look into the void, and listen out the ocean, watch my eyes leak water, the waves crashing from emotion.

Hold onto my body, limp in your arms, then drop me to the ground without any regards.
Stand on me, like i'm nothing but dirt, I can't feel the pain, I have nothing there to hurt.
Inhale deeply, suck up my scent, look down at me, and tell me all the things you resent.

Scratch on the surface and peel back the layers, find the real me, only if you dare.
