Heaven’s Rewards

Gary Edward Geraci

Still full and flowing over

Though I’m just a little cup,

Yet here I see a cup bigger,

Still full and flowing over.

Was sinful but repentant, moreover,

Changed my selfish ways; started looking up,

Still full and flowing over.

Though I’m just a little cup.

  • Comment from author about the poem: A triolet for you! Inspired by the fascinating theological speculation/scholarship regarding the “degrees of holiness” that one will carry into Heaven depending upon the life and holiness lived as a human being. Using simple language and the Triolet form of poetry to flash rather than plumb these depths.
