In Spite Of Me

anonymousblue

Kisses as sweet as cupcakes,

the ones you placed upon his lips

instead of me, in front of me, in spite of me,

spare me the details, the data, the minutiae

of your upscale escapade, are you good in bed?

Don’t know, don’t care, not sure, confused,

defused like a bomb, my love, a worn glove,

discarded, faded, jaded, still I feel

my heart’s burning, stomach turning,

and you’re smiling, he’s winning

instead of me, in front of me, in spite of me.
