A Guy Is Just a Guy

My_Brain

She's a peach hued sky

but you're just a guy and

the sky is the sky

Sweet and sour and right

she's a lemon popsicle

but you suck on ice

She's classic and fine

dressed all to the nines

you've got sweat pants on

She is fresh squeezed and

straight from the tree but you're

only found in a box.

She's bright red lipstick

always smiling in the dark

you're afraid of it.

    I WILL remember this:

    you're just a guy and

    the sky is the sky

Thanks for saying it so succinctly

It's true of most men... Thank you for reading!

Love your poem. Me too I am just a guy, have been for a long time, and even though it is hard to believe, she (the one and only) still loves me! 🙂
Btw, read in your bio that you like to spend money you don't have. Well, here is my take on life: We grow up to work like crazy in a job we don't like just to buy things we don't need with money we don't have. 🙂
