Dancing With The Dead

volpexalyssa

Suck the life out of me, I will let you

Take the shimmer from inside me, I need to save you

I will become nothing as long as you stay my everything

Save me, Drain me.

Becoming best friends with your demons, let them latch onto me

Empty, lost, and confused, you've been one with the dead for far too long

Dance with me, like a black hole sucking the nothing out of you

Dance with me, so I can radiate all my love to you

A scary thing to do

Dancing with the Dead to bring the life out of you.

  • Comment from author about the poem: To observe depression consume the ones you love is heartbreaking. Helpless for so long, continuing to run to the rescue with love. Dancing with the dead until they feel the love. I am overflowing with love.

  • ANGELA & BRIAN

ANGELA HERE - Good evening VOLPE welcome to MPS. It functions by reading and commenting on each others Poetry - OK Thanks for your first Poem - Well penned but with a very challenging Subject - Allowing others to drain us of our Capacity to love ! When we get alongside people who are suffering it does drain us of our Virtue. So we must replenish this through meditation & prayer. Otherwise we be hepless to assist thos who need us. This is our experience - Intake of VIRTUE must more than compensate for Output. Brian & I are Married (6 weeks !) - Sudent Coucellors and Teen Youth Workers in the Church !
