The Flock

matt15rsp

High above the lonely ground

Flies a majestic sight, profound

Flying across a bleeding sky

It'll be gone soon, say goodbye

It flies so quickly

And so far above

There's geese and eagles

A falcon, a dove

Look right up and do it now

Don't loose them against he sun somehow

How long before one will fall

And there's an awful shout, a call

A strange formation

And a stranger song

They sing together

They do, to belong

Sometime they're going to land

On a beach, their feet in the sand

But then they'll take off again

When that'll be, I don't know when

Off to the heavens

And into the fire

To places unseen

Yet their wings don't tire

For a flock is hard as bone

Steadfast, no matter where they've flown

Long and harsh or swift and small

They go as one or not at all

High above the ground

Right across the sky

There it goes right now
