  You write: "Let us be thankful for all that we do enjoy !   That really is RUBBISH.
  1.A good food supply - What about the hundreds of thousands of people who are forced to rely on food banks? What about the homeless about whom this loathsome government couldn't care less?
  
  2. An efficient NHS ~ No. The NHS is being crippled by inadequate supplies of PPE and front line workers are dying by the score thanks to the government's incompetence and lack of planning.
  
  3. A stable & efficient Government ~ Are you clinically insane? Johnson and his gang of lickspittle cronies couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.
  
  4. A new more centralist Leader of the Opposition who is working with the Government ~ Oh dear, another pathetic swipe at Jeremy Corbyn, a decent man who was vilified by the Daily Mail and Sun, two filthy rags. And in any case Johnson has declined Starmer's offers of help.
  
  5. A Royal Family that cares for its Citizens ~ What??? A load of leeches and fools - including one who should be locked up for his dealings with an infamous paedophile. And the queen is virtually senile - locked away safely from any germs at our expense.
  
  6.A reasonable Plan to control & conquer COVID 19 ~ You must be totally stupid if you believe that.Johnson hasn't the faintest idea what to do - his TV broadcast on Sunday night was a pathetic shambles, disowned by the Scottish & Welsh governments among others..
  
  And what has your non-existent "god" got to do with this? If he's omnipotennt, he INVENTED Covid-19.
  
  This so-called poem is a disgrace - you should be ashamed of yourselves. And apart from anything else it's little more than a poor copy of the dreadful, platitudinous hymn of the same name which makes most people puke when they hear it.

    BRIAN HERE ~ Good Evening Barry ~ Thank you for your very full & objective comments on My Poem & its codicils.
    1. A GOOD FOOD SUPPLY. Planet Earth produces sufficient food to feed 7.6 billion people but there are Global Problems of wastage & distribution. In the UK we have an excellent Education System if poeple take the opportunities. Also Vocationally Based FE which is the sector I work in training Caterers - Hairdressers - Student Nurses - Construct ion Workers etc. These are low paid but very important jobs. People find themselves unemployed& homeless for a variety of Socio-economic reasons. But soem of it is due to Drugs - Gambing - Alcohol etc etc. I have worked with the YMCA seeking to support 16 to 30 yearolds helping them to move from insecurity to security & from homelessness to having secure accomodation. We are not judgemental and the Food Banks & Night Shelters etc are often staffed by Christians and run by Organisations such as th Salvation Army etc. Peple are often masters of their own Destiny ! I do vote LABOUR and a LABOUR Governmenyt would be more egalitarian.
    2. I have always found the NHS very efficient - It is underfunded and was feasible when it started i after WW2 but needs to rethink its FUNDING. It was impossible to *PLAN* for an unforseen PANDEMIC we should do everything to encourage them. We now have over capacity due to the NIGHTINGALE HOSPITALS should the rate of infection increas edue to the new measures to reopen Schools etc . The supply of PPE in Hospitals is now adequate & is improving elsewhere. Its easy to be critical with hindsight but the rateb of infection & C 19 death rate is declining due to the effective LOCKDOWN the Covernment has put in Place.
    3. The Government is Stable due to its 100+ Majority and there are some very able Poiticians in ALL Parties. I wouls like to see Lobour Consolidate under Kieth Starmer and win the 2023 Election & form a more Egalirtarian Society. But they need the suport of the Seats which they lost under Jeremy !
    4. I wouldnt gine the Mail or the Sun or the Express House room . Jeremy is a true MARXIST but was Politically too far left for the current Political Climate - even in safe Labour Seats which lost us the election. If we had of elected Davis Milliband instead of Ed we would have had a Labour Government ! I believe under STARMER Labour can find its voice & pwer back again - and win the 2025 election. Especially if the Johhnson Government are as stupid as you say they are !
    5, Since 1952 Queen Elizabeth has been a great Influence for Good in the UK and an influence on all the PMs who have served under her. Her Family have been less worthy - but the Monarchy is a great stabalising influence and will continue to flourish under Charles - William & George - Well into the 22nd C ! Or would you rather the UK be run by somebody like G W BUSH or DONALD TRUMP ?
    6. BORIS is seeking toreastore the UK to Economic - Educational & Social Normality ~ Scotland ~ Wales & N Ireland are free to set their own Agenda. You have to bear in mind that 84% of the UK Population live in ENGLAND ! Boris has made his plans to move from LOCKDOWN to FREEDOM of MOVEMENT much clearer today !
    7'. The existance of COVID 19 is natural and prbably caused by a natural mutation of a known CARONAVIRUS - such as FLU to COVID 19 A B & C. There is evidence that this happened in ASIa due to unhygenislive meat markets i.e. IT WAS CAUSED BY MAN - consequently MANKIND has to bear and eradicate (vaccines etc0 the consequences. GOD allows MANKIND to reap what it SOWS !
    8. The HYMN *Morning has broken* is loved by millions including everyone I know. You must move in different Circles form ME as I have yet to meet anyone who it caused to PUKE. My POEM is simply a reworking of the Lyric as a PANTOUM for emphasis sorry you found it a DISGRACE !

    Thank you for the courtesy of your fulsome reply.
    We shall have to agree to disagree on most of your comments, with the exception that a Labour government for the past 10 years would have been an improvement on the current load of liars and incompetents who have dragged us out of the EU at a time when we need unity more than ever. And we can agree on the vileness of the Mail, Express and Sun - actually you can add in the Telegraph (or Daily Boris as it is known) to that list as it is equally meretricious, although much better written.
    
    If you think Johnson made his plans clearer today you must have been watching a different programme to the one I was appalled by. Just another load of half truths and evasions from a buffoon who can't tell truth from lies and who doesn't even know how many bastards he has fathered.
    
    PS You now know someone who pukes at the banality of he hideous sloppy tripe that is "Morning has Broken" - I have never met anyone who could bear its triteness and oozing godsquad sentimentality.
