Vindication

Our futures may be stolen,

But our souls are not broken,

For even tomorrow’s rain,

Will wash away today’s pain!

Even if life has nothing to give,

We have every reason to live,

For we can break beyond these chains,

In order to move on with hope in our veins!

Whether it be fate or destiny?

Or life’s tragic legacy?

We will carve our own path,

So that our hearts know no wrath!

They say that we’re not “perfect,”

‘Cause we chose to be “imperfect,”

By embracing individuality,

Over the facade of normality!

Rejected and criticized,

That is how we are analyzed,

But in spite of that cruel reality,

We will always march on towards infinity!

So true! Thank you for this encouraging message. We must remember that we all have a purpose and a place on this earth, otherwise we would have never been born at all! It's hard not to believe the lie that says otherwise, so it's important that people remind eachother as much as possible.

Thank you! We must always encourage those who are lonely to never give up, for they are unique and special in their own way! Despite the criticism, they should do what makes them happy and follow their hearts!

I bring the words of Max Ehrmann's 'Desiderata' to the minds of souls i meet who are dejected and falling into negativity. Reading your words of wholesome positivity today brought his work to mind.

It's good to see pieces of this nature on MPS where, for so many of us, poetry is very much a therapy.

                    Good Write Audax.
Some times the beauty of being a Unicorn is not appreciated by the world, instead those are the ones ostracized. I will save this in my mind for when needed to share with another soul. Don

There really seems to be a tipping point in one's own pain that can create a warrior mindset, there's no going back from then on.

                      I really liked this :)
