N IGHTINGALES ~ Only sing in the Night

O WLS ~ Are lovely - they*re nocturnal too

P ARROTS ~ In the wild are quite a sight

Q UAILS ~ Lay minute eggs - for a cake ? 22 !

R OBINS ~ Bring Colour to White Winter Woods

S WALLOWS ~ They swoop & SWIFTS glide

T URNSTONES ~ Turn stones and find all sorts of Foods

U MBRELLA BIRDS ~ Keep their Quills nice and dry !

V ULTURES ~ They feed on what others KILL

W ARBLERS ~ Warble - when they are Happy

X EMAS ~ Scoop fishes up in their BILL

Y AFFLE ~ Hes always a Serious Chappy

ZOO ZOO BIRD ~ Is awesome and *Licenced to Thrill !*

I should point out ~ that while Angela & I *Fly the Flag* that the Alphabet List was not meant to be exclusively (just mainly) BRITISH BIRDS ~ OK ! Also you run into a problem with some letters.  I wanted to include the Umbrella Bird Song ! Great for *Shutdown Exercise for Seniors* ~ Strut Yer Stuff ~ Indoors or Out !       Good Afternoon Uncle Steve - Pleased you enjoyed the Umbrella Bird - Song & Dance. We have made our Garden *Cat Proof for Birds* The feeders & Bird Baths are all raised and we dont feed @ ground level ! Smokey does play wirh the Birds but (Thank God) He never catches them ! Feral Cats & Birds a natural part of the Food Chain. Pet Cats have to be restrained.

      Loads of fun-reasons for knowing birds better - thanks dear duo for an N to Z presentation where quails get a mention - I kept quails until recent months and loved their quiet natures and their yummy eggs.
