To the one that was never mine

brhodes

How do you do you control butterflies?

How do you stop them swirling out of control,

Sending tingles to each part of your soul.

Where’s the barrier that stops me falling out of line.

How do I stop falling down this hole,

You know you can call me to confide,

There is no pain too strong you have to hide.

No matter the time.

It’s me who wants to be by your side.

And that’s why I push you away;

Even tho I want you I’m my day to day.

I need you to stay.

The unfortunate part is that’s not my decision to make.

So I build up a wall,

Strong and tall.

That way you don’t leave my heart sore.

How do you do you control butterflies?

How do you stop them swirling out of control,

Sending tingles to each part of your sole.

Where’s the barrier that stops me falling out of line.

How do I stop falling down this hole,

You know you can call me to confide,

There is no pain too strong you have to hide.

No matter the time.

It’s me who wants to be by your side.

And that’s why I push you away;

Even tho I want you I’m my day to day.

I need you to stay.

The unfortunate part is that’s not my decision to make.

So I build up a wall,

Strong and tall.

That way you don’t leave my heart sore.

I don’t want to loose the butterfly’s.

Because it’s a feeling that took me too long to find.

But the truth is they were never mine.

I don’t want to loose the butterfly’s.

Because it’s a feeling that took me too long to find.

But the truth is they were never mine.
