    Was Tertullian quite severe? Or at least, a pic I saw of him made him look quite gruff!

      I only know that he’s frequently quoted - he might have gotten misdirected into a heresy or a position that later theologians had to modify but I can’t be too certain if it was him or not. None-the-less, his good ideas and works are still widely quoted today. If only posterity will remember us for our good qualities Orchidee.
