Romancing the Dead

sylviasearcher

If I write about my soft demise
That drifts like lost waves
Beneath shipwrecked eyes
Would you listen to my ocean’s lies?

When I wake each morn and romance my end
Painted dead red like love
And with free will to Lethe descend
Would you with light my darkness bend?

Lost
Lifeless
Losing

Empty
Dead

Sneak
Creep
Keeping

Fullness
Dread

Watch now as I fall and break each pretty bone!
Or in my own flames will writhe and moan
Look away! Look away!
My soul has flown
I ended as I began
Alone

A brilliant interpretation of endless non-existence. Into my faves with this one Sylvia. Great write.
