The Uneducated O.A.P

Whenever you look at a watch

It shows a different time

The watch I am wearing, was my fathers

Who past at Christmas time

Whenever I look at his watch

I don't see time at all

I see a different memory

His watch helps me to recall

No apologies necessary for any word in this fine time piece.
Between the lines i read that you are proud to wear this piece which was ever present in your fathers days. Two lucky men. He to have a proud son and you to have a father to be proud of.

As orchidee would say "A fine write".

Thankyou for your kind words dusk, means a lot, those that say times a healer, wind me up, Bill.

      • ANGELA & BRIAN

Angela here - Thanks UOAP for a very beautiul tribute to your DAD and his Watch. A reliable watch is a very imortant accessory when so much of Modern Life is governed by TIME. In my job Clinics & 1 : 1 appointments are controlled by 24 hour day time. I has a ladies fashion watch (with hands !) and one of the first things Brian bought me was a 24 hr digital watch with a builr in stopwatch ! Maybe one day (when we all wear wrist computers !) I will pass it on to one of our Children ! Thanks Bill - for caring.

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours.
        Love Angela & Brian 💛💛💛💛💛

I can see here that your dad is as proud of you as you are of him.

I was reading your profile and your birthday. That's the day my adoptive mother passed in 2008. You and your dad will be together again.

          • The Uneducated O.A.P

            • Accidental Poet

Safe, ALWAYS. Sane? That's a bit more of a challenge these days, but I'll always give it my best.

Fine timely words Bill, that watch means so much to you as does the one I wear, it was the last Birthday present my mother gave me before she died.
