What's important right now is to see that other peoples lives matter. Not to be selfish. Not to be apathetic.
As a person who knows and works with people who are “mentally unwell” I can say that some people in the world just need reminded every so often how amazing they are.
Also this poem is from one person to another saying “YOUR life matters” is recognising the life of others. Which kinda makes your notion redundant.

I actually like and appreciate when people challenge me on my opinions. It’s sometimes the only way conversations can happen so I appreciate the time you take to do so. 😊
I didn't read it as negative at all. You expanded the subject and touched a nerve too, as i have a daughter with what they call today 'learning difficulties'.
You are quite right that all lives matter and I am perhaps being over sensitive at this time having seen and heard several comments from those in opposition to the current stance 'black lives matter' for whatever personal reasons may motivate them. Let me reassure you though that your reasons come across as being completely admirable.
I work with people every day and have done previously with learning difficulties and I think we can both agree they are the most amazing people to have in your life. I always appreciate other people’s view on life, it’s what makes the world go round. I wish you and your beautiful daughter the best in life. ❤️😊
