The Upside Down

asrealastheycome

This that upside down

Cause I ain’t ever see stranger things than what’s goin on right now

Bodies layed out on the ground

Makin my head spin around

When I turn on the news

I get all confused

Ain’t history teach us nothin

I try to say something,

But I can’t make a sound

Haven’t we learned from past times of hatred?

Backwards are the steps we’ve been taken

I fuckin can’t take it

given the precious gift of life and this how we waste it?

Got me aching

Momma I been patient

Bitin my tongue surrounded by these fuckin racists

And you what the fuckin shame is, we sharing similar shading

that don’t mean im hating myself for my complexion

I’m proud of who I am, it’s just the wrath of this infection

That’s been pressing itself on society since the minute human beings got to steppin

On this earth

What’s are worth

I sense a curse

Why do we see the need to continue all this hurt?

Last time I checked we all be running red with the same liquid

So answer me this question, when you look at a stranger in the distance, how can you tell me that you see a difference

We just children

From some type of cosmic energy the universe brought to fruition

I speak these words like it’s easy to convince the world of co existence

But I always keep the faith in me that one day we all could just close our eyes, and just listen
