BEYOND THE SUNSET ~ WILL WE SURVIVE CORONA 19 ?

ANGELA & BRIAN

BEYOND THE SUNSET ~ ARE WE READY ?
*******************************************
COVID has made us all think about DEATH
Will this be the DAY we breath our last BREATH
So much to do ~ also so much to say
ANGELA & I ~ to Young to pass away ?
NO ~ COVID is NO respecter of AGE
Or EDUCATION of Dumbkopf or SAGE !
***************************************
ANGEL & I have written our WILLS
We cant live for ever enjoying Lifes THRILLS
Weve left it all to our SIBLINGS ~ That's fair
The sale of our House between them they*ll share !
And what about SMOKEY ~ Lovely BLUE CAT
Ive spoke to Me Mum ~ she*ll take care of that !
***********************************************
TO YOUNG TO DIE ? O dont you believe it !
Look in the GRAVEYARD ~ and You*ll perceive it
Many GOOD FOLK ~ who*ve never been NAUGHTY
Meet the Grim Reaper ~ before they*re FORTY !
COVI D 19 ~ a real big ~ UP-SHAKER
WELL ~ Are you ready to meet YOUR MAKER ?
******************************************?
Thanks for visit - Please add a POEM ~ Thanks A & B
We know at least 10 who have dies or are suffering from COVID 19
We all support our LEADERS in wanting to KICK-START our UK
Economy next week ~ BUT it puts us all @ ten times the risk of
catching COVID 19. If our WORKPLACE opens we cant OPT OUT !

An angle on this maybe is, a short discourse...
Psalm-writers and other Biblical writers
Have too questioned this
The matter of suffering
A major stumbling-block to some people believing
And too, if believing, we have our 'Why's'?
********
And yes, as they asked, to paraphrase
'Why do the good seem to die young?'
'And why do the bad seem to live long, with no troubles?'
A general principle maybe
Not all who are good die young
Not all who are bad live long.
*******
Yet people understood, or understood more
When they 'went into the house of God'
His sanctuary - church, temple, whatever
Or even in seeking Him outside of church
The end of the wicked is revealed
*******
Their time will come, they shall not win
Then the question:'Do some things happen before their time'
Such as, if one get run over and killed or injured by a bus
Yet a belief is: God is ultimately over all
******
Let us ask, not bitterly or angrily
But 'What about prayers for X, and then they died young, even after prayers and medical help?'.
A peaceful release in some cases, eyes
But others with seemingly most of their human lives in front of them.
*******
And other aspects of suffering you can think of too.....

TO BE IN HEAVEN ~ WHICH IS FAR BETTER ~ ANGELA !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HEAVEN IS BETTER THAN THIS !
O MY what Joy & Bliss
Walking down the streets of solid GOLD
Livin* in a Land where we*ll never grow OLD
Life on EARTH with MY LORD is FINE
BUT ~ Heaven is better than this !
Eye hath not seen ~ nor vision can
Conjour up in the Heart of Man
The things that GOD for us Devise
When we get to PARADISE !
I love my JOB & I love my HOME
Love my SMOKEY when we*re all alone
I love BRIAN & MAMA & PAPA
Flying over London in the AMBULANCE CHOPPER!
Love all these things that bind me to EARTH
I long to give my CHILDREN BIRTH
Wonderful things ~ the next 50 years ~ Please
Help me survive the COVID 19 tears
Id love to live to EIGHTY PLUS
And die in my sleep without a FUSS
BUT ~ If the Lord should call me tonight
To my HOME in HEAVEN ~ that*ll be ALL RIGHT ~ AMEN !
LOCKDOWN FUNERALS ARE A TRAVESTY ~ NO CELEBRATION
****************************************
Since LOCKDOWN there have been about TEN
Funerals ANGELA & I should have attended.
But until recently it has been ONLY TEN
NO SINGING & NO WAKE or CELEBRATION !
In Liverpool Irish Catholic Funerals .....
Went on for three days at least ~ and
Lots came over from Ireland on the BOAT
Bringing crates of real GUINESS ~ You
Could stand a spoon up in ~ real Funerals !
Cos I could not go to these recent funerals
I sent a CARD and a DONATION to the GIDEONS.
I would get a note back thanking me and saying
We*ll have a celebration this time next year
And send you an invite BUT I WONT BE GOING !
I hope & Pray I wont die during LOCKDOWN ~ AMEN
Beyond the Sunset as darkness takes hold
There’s a Lonely solemn feeling of old
I close my heavy eyes as the world turns cold
Wondering if death Will suddenly unfold
Voices Echoing you’ve already been told
COVID-19 is more virulent than any cold
Shivering though summer is hot and bold
I wake up from a nightmare that seems to unfold
A new day blessed as the morning rolls
Living in the light savoring as noon unfolds
That I’m alive , but careful so I may grow old
  • Comment from author about the poem: Because ANGELA & I are Christians we have no fear of DEATH ~ beause we believe (by Faith) we have a place in Heaven (Paradise) according to the Scriptures. However we feel @ 32 (A) & 36 (B) we are a little too Young. We*ve only been married 3 months and we haven*t started our Family yet. The trouble with a PANDEMIC nobody is exempt. Opening up the *Economy* next week means that I (BRIAN) wil have to return to work and mix with hundreds of People (Staff & Students) some of whom may be Carriers. Angela (because she works in a Hospital) is at risk ~ although as Physio ~ she is not in direct contact with COVID 19 Patients or Wards. What are your thoughts ? Do you feel more at risk because Society in the UK is reopening (not 100%) next week ? Please post a POEM saying how you FEEL ~ THANKS ~ BRIAN & ANGELA πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›
