RICHNESS
My body drips with honey
And my eyes are a warm embrace
My tongue in your mouth is molasses
With the same elusive taste
My voice is a tunnel to my heart
One that burns with white light at the end
The love I have for you is heavy
My hands on your chest are Godsent
I feel your heartbeat and remember
Pressing your cheek against mine
A rush of passion consumes my velvet soul
As I remember our past lives
And although you said goodbye to me
I know you will never forget
The sweet way we were together
And the richness that I possess

Beautiful acknowledgment of self worth despite failed love.
I love it!
I have loved several people that way in my life, most of them decades ago and some of the relationships lasted for only a short time. Whether we were kids who moved apart, or one of us decided there wasn't a future in it, I have never stopped loving any of them, some who are not even alive today. Each love is added to the others, does not replace it or push it aside. So no I'm sure that person will never forget.
If it were possible i would take your comment here, beautifully expressed, and add it to my favourites. For in your words you show so much of my own feeling in words i have not shaped.
Well, let's credit Morgen for the inspiration and well-tempered reminder.
I am totally at one with the comments made by jarcher54 here. Beautifully expressed as is your piece today.
Welcome morgen
Super debut
Look forward to more
