At ten years old
My life she changed
Suddenly the sweetest of love songs
For her my heart gladly sang
At fourteen years old
I told her I’d always love her
Then she moved away
Thinking I’d soon forget her
At sixty-four years old
Still my heart wears her name
After all these years
Sharon will remain
Might she have imagined
That I would love her this much
That I would love her for this long
Even without her hands sweet touch
But touch me she did
To the deepest core of me
The greatest gift I’ve ever known
Love within my heart endlessly
Now more than ever before
I labor to be the best I can be
For Sharon deserves no less
She brings out the best in me
