What we lost

JoshLohr

They say we won, they don’t say what we lost,

Every man that fell, hungered to death,

Every mother mourning over their son,

Every man breathing their last breath

All the people knowing their end will come

They say we won, they didn’t say what we lost,

They say we won, but they didn’t say at what cost

As was wisely said "Each action has an equal and opposite reaction". Blindly we are encouraged to celebrate the achievements... while widows weep and orphanages grow.

A provokative first piece from you which i enjoyed reading. Welcome to MPS, looking forward to more from you.
