A Woman in Love

MelissaJA

Careful

She’s fragile,

A thin wine glass

Ready to shatter at the slightest drop

Or an ounce too much pressure.

Delicate,

Far too easily broken.

Don’t drop her,

Don’t let her shatter.

Hold her in strong

Gentle hands

And care for her.

Don’t let her break,

For she is precious

Intricately carved glass.

Careful,

She’s fragile,

A woman in love.

Aren't we all this fragile when love opens us up and we let another right into our tenderest places. That's why love can be so painful. But fulfilled, as you know, it is the most wonderful thing we will ever know.
Some find themselves hungry for love having felt it and lost it. Sadly they fall prey and become victims and damaged by their inate fragile state.
Great post from you today with piercing message and excellent structure.
