THE THING IVE MISSED MOST DURING LOCKDOWN IS EATING OUT ! ANGELA

BRIAN & I ~ eat out at least once a week so closing all the
Reatuarnts - Caffs - & Pubs was *The Straw that broke
The Camels Back^ for us. *Take Aways* are OK - The Food
is similar but its only 10% of the experience of *Dining Out*
Im not on LOCKDOWN but Brian has only been doing TWO
DAYS a week ! He is a great COOK and always has a nice
meal for me when I come Homefrom Slaving in the Clinic
in the Pool & in the Gym. Sometimes He prints a MENU
in French to make it more Cordon Blue ! What aspect of
Socialisation have YOU missed most during LOCKDOWN ?

Like many of You too ~ no doubt !
A great Social Pleasure is Dining & Wining !

However as everyone knows RESTAURANTS
Were among the first places to CLOSE
They all catered for all our Dietry wants
During LOCKDOWN ~ How we all missed those !

When BORIS decreed *WE could Eat Out again*
And Caffs & Pubs & Bistros could OPEN
The Good News ~ almost blew out my BRIAN
Eat in *FISH & CHIP SUPPER* with Brian ~ Im HOPIN* !

On FRIDAY ~ Our Friends ~ DAPHNE & FRED
Told us they had booked a TABLE
In a very POSH ~ NOSH ~ Known as the SHED
To join them we said we were able !

Twas our first *meal out* for 16 long WEEKS
Saturday Lunch by the RIVER
The STARTERS were Ham ~ Haddock or Leeks
The scent of them ~ sent Me in a quiver !

The MAINS - Guinea Fowl or Pork or a Trout
Served *Nouveau Cuisine* with Panache
Also a Bottle of Rose D*Anjou
Sauces and Veggies & buttery Mash !

A nice coice of Desserts to finish the Meal
Chocolate fondant ~ Panacot ~ Eton Mess
Cheeses & Biscuits ~ served with great Zeal
Weather was good ~ First NOSH since SPLOSH ~ A SUCCESS !

On my run-down Plot I worked a lot
SMOKIE made my Days all FULL-A-FUN never FLAT

Because Im the HEAD of SCIENCE ~ Applied
I went into Work two day a WEEK
Allotments - Green Houses our Departments Pride
Animal House & Microbe Lab - Im a GEEK
And just in case on my HANDS - I had TIME
I did the HOUSEWORK as well
Made the DINNER each evening (a HOBBY of MINE)
So ANGEL came HOME to a wonderful SMELL !

Ive been back in WORK last two weeks in JULY
WORKING HARD ~ Dotting *Is* crossing *Ts*

Thank GOD for August ~ A WHOLE MONTH OF EASE!

Just to explain for Applied Science Work in
Addition to *Normal* labs we need a Microbiology
Laboratory (with ongoing Projects & Experiments)
And an Allotment & Greenhouses & Animal House
I help the Technicians to maintain these we
cant just shut them down like a PHYSICS LAB !
