BRIAN & I are foodies ~ we love to eat out
At least once per week ~ for Fine Dining
Like some of you do ~ also no doubt
The best Social Pleasure is Dining & Wining !
However ~ as everyone knows ~ RESTAURANTS
Where among the first places to close !
They catered for all our dietry wants
During LOCKDOWN ~ the most we missed those !
When BORIS decreed ~ we could all *Eat Out* again
And Caffs - Pubs & Bistros could all REOPEN !
This welcome NEWS ~ almost blew my Brain
*Eat in* Fish & Chip Supper with Brian Im hopin* !
On Friday ~ Our Friends Daphne & Fred
Rang saying *We have booked a TABLE*
In a very *POSH ~ NOSH* ~ known as the *SHED*
To join them we said *We are ABLE !*
Twas our first *Meal Out* for sixteen long weeks
Saturday Lunch by the River
The Starters were Ham - Haddock - Potato & Leeks
The sight of them sent me ~ all of a quiver !
The Mains - Guinea Fowl - Loin of Pork or a Trout
Served *Nouvelle Cuisine* with panache
Also a Bottle of Rose d*Anjou
With Veggies & buttery Mash !
A nice choice of Desserts at the end of the Meal
Chocolate Fondant - Panacot - Eton Mess
And Cheeses & Biscuits & Mandarins sans Peel
Coffee & Good Weather - Our first Meal Out ? A SUCCESS !

Oh how I missed it. I had actually went out to eat twice recently, but it is very different now. I did not like it the first time as because we were give plastic utensils. Overall, the restaurants are a bit different. You must wear a mask inside until you you reach your table. The waiters where masks. All the menus are made of paper so it may be disposed of. Also, because most restaurants were closed for so long many of them changed there menu items. Still, I am glad that it is rarely crowded. Other than the food, it is not as fun as it used to be. I still enjoy it though because I enjoy going out.
Eat healthy.

HI DION ~ HAPPY SUNDAY ! I agree its not quite the same and much less fun ! We also miss Church & the Sport etc ! Now we cant go in shops unmasked and we must QUARANTINE (two weeks) if we visit USA or S America or Spain or Portugal or Norway etc etc. I posted this POEM as a FUSION can you please check and add a Poem about *NOT EAING OUT* Thanks.
