Chemicals

John McChord

Those fleeting moments of clarity

Ironically present themselves

While we are drowned in chemicals

Catalysts of confusion for most

But I, and they, and you

Just may seem to understand

While we are holding

These chemicals in hand

    The EVOLUTIONISTS say Man began
    As Protoplasm in Primeveal Pool
And is just a bunch of random CHEMICALS !
But you know & I know that a HUMAN BEING
Is infinitly better than just the SUM of its PARTS !

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Evening JOHN thanks for a metaphysical Ode with a challenging Title and an even more challenging content. To answer the Question *What is Man Chemicalwise* it is not easy. However if we purchased all the individual Chemicals (moloecules) contained in an Adult Human it would cost much more than the $64.000 it cost to rebuild Steve Austin *The $64.000 Man* OK so we have the calcium phosphate for bones - the enzymes to catalyze the biochemical reactions needed for metabolism and the proteins & fats for tissues & DNA to progreate ! And Haemoglobin a complex tetrapyrollic macrocycle with an atom of IRON at its centre to carry OXYGEN from the lungs to the cells to oxidise GLUCOSE to provide Energy (ATP) for muscular contraction etc. Thousands of Dollars to buy the stuff we*re made of ~ then there is the *slight* problem of putting it all together ! BLIND CHANCE ~ I dont think so ! We are wonderfully & fearfully created ! Thanks for sharing made me Think !

    Love Peace & Joy
    Brain & Angela !

Adrenaline and dopamine and seratonin also have great powers over a person and each can bring a kind of clarity. LSD and crack we can hold in our hand, or...
