SUN 💛 SAND 🧡 SEA 💛 SANGRIA 🧡 ESPANIA POR FAVOR !

SPAIN IS ~ The preferred Holiday Destination of over 18 million BRITS each Year and not just for the Sun ~ Sand ~ Sea & Sangria but for dozens of other Historical ~ Architectural ~ Cultural ~ Spiritual & Gastronomic Reasons. On balance Brian & I believe she has the greatest Treasures of Art - Architecture - Scenery - Wine & Cuisine of any other Country in Europe !  But then we are very biased. Even though I was raised in England - My father is Spanish and I always spent my Summer Holidays - with my Spanish Family in Sevilla. Brian has studied Spanish & Spain since he was TEN and His Spanishness convinced Mi Padre that he would be a suitable MARIDO for Me ~ Angela Maria de la Plata ~ AMEN ! SPAIN ~ The Perfect Holiday destination

Almost any time of the Year. Because of

Excellent Hotels and Weather. So much so

That THOUSANDS of Brits have purchased

Beautiful Holiday Homes and many have

Also retired to live in Spain & its Islands !

WHY ? Because the Spanish Cuisine suits

The British Palette and Spanish Beers like

San Miguel are very popular in the UK ~ 

As are Spanish Wines like Rioja and the

Sparkling Cava is in our opinion ~ Superior

to Champagne (France) & Prosecco (Italy)

Most of You will have visited Spain often

So you will know what I am talking about !

When the COVID 19 travel ban was lifted

The main European Country Brits headed

Back to was Spain. Brian & I had booked

Our April Honeymoon in Sevilla but had to

Settle for Romantic Cambridge instead !

The main reason we are posting this POEM

Is not primarily to *Promote Spanish Tourism*

But to ask you all to Support & Pray to your

GOD (if you have one) for Spain*s dilemma

At this sad time !  Because there has been a

Big increase in COVID 19 (much greater than UK)

In NW Areas of Spain (not the Spanish Islands)

BORIS has said ~ Returnees must  quarantine 2 weeks

TEN % of Spain*s economy is from Tourism 

And it was just recovering from the 4 month

Lockdown due to CORVID 19 ~ The UK Gov*t 

Had decreed it was SAFE to Holiday in SPAIN !

Then suddenly (without warning) two weeks

Quarantine were required on RETURN ! Not 

Everyone (Shop Workers for instance) can

Work from Home ~ So a BUS DRIVER would

Have to lose 2 weeks Holiday or take  2 weeks

Unpaid Leave ~ most cant afford it. So please

Support Spain  all those caught in Holiday Dilemma !
