Beyond Pinecone

Edthepoet

Try hitting pause
On your thoughts
Don't hide behind
Being unkind.
This is not you
Not what you want
You know the truth
You know you won't.
You'll never be
The same as he
Who occupies
Your one track mind.
He's running Laps
You're left behind
And they all know
Yeah they all see
It's all for show
You'll never be.
But there is hope
There's victory
In letting go
Of childish dreams
Become a man
On 2 feet stand
Pick your fights
Make punches land.
Lose some battles
But win the war
Pass to your child
Your childish thoughts.
Those stones unturned
Better left unknown.
What's sowed is reaped
And the reapers owed
A debt of life
By all who grow
Above the reef
Beyond Pinecone.

You must draw this straight in the moment and I don't know if it is a reflection of your inner working, but truly inspirational stuff and a flow that sits with the soul!

    In another work! Incredible..

    Thanks for sharing

    Much peace and respect

Cheers Dan, I think with this one I was listening to a Leonard Cohen song, I think the one they used on true detective, I get a rythm in my head and run with it, I don't over think things haha. Whether that makes me a fraud.. Who knows.. I enjoy what I write. Hope you do to man.
