L. B. Mek

Just no #: in-me

not an ounce of 'Insta' in-me

but for my morning coffee

and that’s still drowning

in that milky goodness

of my archaic nature’s stubbornness

I will eat a million noodle dinners

but frown, at the mere thought

of a pot noodle - snack

I face-plant - smack and wipe clean

a thousand glass walls or doors

with a mere shrug

but jerk back in-alarm, when asked

for a game of Facebook tags, pokes or swipes

instead, I watch astounded

at those busily clicking away

with their nose tips

a featherweight digital world, mirage

out of reach

fixing meltdowns - by merely subduing, power buttons

if only

we could all

our factory settings

just as easily...

A super write and I love that final stanza - indeed if we could only recalibrate outr factory settings.

      thank you,
though its an early draft that will probably be refined in the future, I doubt that final stanza will ever change

Great usage of word-power in this unique look at the digital world of busy clicks by unthinking fingers and how some of us cannot help but be different - - - your stubborness is to be valued my friend as is this cleverly written review of a populace given to virtuality.

thank you, it is comforting to know I'm not alone in my weariness of this deluge of unnatural behaviour traits invading our society

Super words LB, this digital age is taking away the interaction between us. Face to face is the way it works best.

or at the very least some semblance of balance
I fear Convid19 will only accelerate the trend of social networking reliance,
          thank you Andy
