THE FOURTH PART OF THE UK WE CAN VACATION IN
DURING *RESTRICTIONS* IS NORTH IRELAND (1921
2 MILLION INHABITANTS ~ MAINLY PROTESTANT) WE
MAY STILL BE ABLE TO GET INTO SOUTH IRELAND
(1948 5.5 MILLION INHABITANTS ~ MAINLY CATHOLIC)
WITH UK PASSPORT. S IRELAND IS FIVE TIMES BIGGER
THAN N IRELAND & IS STILL A MEMBER OF THEy EU !
THE VIDEO SHOWS IRISH DANCING LEGS ONLY NO ARMS
***************************************
IRELAND N or S Is a Great Country to visit.
The Irish have a great sense of Humour &
Conversation (called the CRAC) They love to
Sing & Dance and every Bar will have a Wee Band
with People coming & going & sitting in ! The
GODS ensure the Instruments & Voices are ALWAYS
In tune with perfect Harmony. Their favourite
Tipple is Guiness which you can eat with a spoon
They love SCONES with a mega POT of TEA ~ And
Irish Stew whixh is like Scouse. The recipe
varies with what ever you*ve got in the Pantry.
The IRISH ACCENT is very musical and much Easier to understand than the Scots !
Sometimes they confuse their words on purpose !
Like the Man in Dublin who said to me *Good
Mornin* Mister ~ Could yer borrow me a POUND*
Think about it ! If you get a chance to Go to
Ireland dont hesitate JUST GO !
****************************************

I think you'll find Ireland is not actually in the UK these days.

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

THANKS BARRY ~ BRIAN HERE ~ I agree and am corrected ! I was born & raised in Liverpool (no mean City) consquently there was always a lot of Irish Influence. If we got on a Boat from Liverpool to Ireland we didnt really caree if it docked in DUBLIN (Rwpublic of Ireland) or BELFAST (N Ireland part of the UK !) It was all Ireland to US. Angela (holding a Spanish Passport) and Me (Having a great fondness for the whole of Ireland) voted to stay in the Common Market ! Now the UK is OUT & the Republic of Ireland IN there will be border Problems. The Republic of Ireland ceased to be part of the UK in 1916 ! It would be better for everyone if IRELAND became ONE COUNTRY ~ All in the EU ~ AMEN

Love ~ Joy ~ Peace ~ To YOU & YOURS
      Angela - Brian - Smokey Cat ! ! ! .

        You are incorrect.

1916 was the date of the Easter Rebellion, which failed and its leaders were executed for treason by the British.
After a Civil War, The Irish Free State seceded from the UK in 1922 and (under the Anglo-Irish Treaty) six NE counties of the province of Ulster remained within the UK, becoming Northern Ireland.

"Eire" remained the Irish Free State until 1948 when it was renamed the Republic of Ireland.

And that is how matters remain to this day: 26 counties in the RoI and 6 in NI.
