Love-Light.
Shaking a fist at what wishes her harm
calmly facing
her fears of troubled alarm,
she fishes,
heart deep, when a drama,
which threatens to flood her with tears
appears
and she nets a life-changing feast.
To rise erect when she is thrown down,
determined at
starting all over again,
she brushes
away remembered pain
of any clutched-too-tight humiliation,
laying
no blame at anyone's feet.
Such spirit frees a kind selfless core
action that,
reflecting the wakening
mind tackles
hurt at deeper-root
level and with determined resolute
usage
of a "ce-la-vie" humour.
Learning to laugh astutely with and not
at other views
she finds the way to beauty
of heart
will mean accepting
difference as needed part in growth
of self-peace
ready to face any truth.
When self-compassion is sparked
blindness to others clears
and seen
is love-light conquering darkness.

Thanks Fay - Angela here - its nice to have you back with Uplifting Odes two days in a row ! Yesterday you spoke of Changes and how the Pride of King Sun has to ineveiably give way to Queen Moon as Dusk gies way to darkness and the Suns unbearable Blaze is eclipsed by His reflection from Queen Moon ! As a FEMALE (but not a Feminist) I can relate to that ! Todays poem reminds us about the Power & Significance of our Own Individuality especially as Ladies ! I admire Brian for who & what He is and I respect & honour Him as the only Husband I have ever had or will (DV) ever want to have. BUT in our Marriage we are EQUAL but with different skills & gifts we bring to our Home ! I accept that when we start a Family - it is I as the Mother who will have to put my Career on Hold to nurture our Baby while Brian will continue to work to sustain all three of US - Esta la Vida ! Thats the Spanish Way as well as the English Way. Fortunately PHYSIO does not change radically every five years ! MAMA warns Me *TWO Bambinos takes FIVE Years*
Your Poem emphasises the importance of SELF ~ Awareness - Determination - Peace - Compassion & Freedom of Spirit ~ BRIAN is beginning to learn Im big on all those things ~ they are MY MANTRA and in the past - they have enabled me to *overcome & survive* doubt - despair & disillusion. However with Brian as my alter-ego we are both twice as STRONG ! Aint Marriage WONDERFUL ! We haven*t posted today but have a great Acrostic Ballad for tomorrow *LOVE OF THE HORSE* please visit ! I believe that Love is the strongest power in all of humanity's existence.
Your poem is a wonderful description of a potential way of life. If only all of us could sustain such an endeavor, this planet would be a much happier place. You raise many thoughts and ideas that warrant deep consideration. Can one endure all of life's tragedies and still laugh and smile and be happy.
