A lifetime spent chasing hens
in and out of chicken pens
was almost enough to forget,
but this old fox hasn't just yet.
blue sky overhead golden fields
pain i didn't know i still feel
my flower's still waiting upon the moon
think i left it there too soon
. . .
Lost myself for a minute there.
This old fox can get lost in a stare.
Anyway, the sun is going down.
I'll go back to my chickens now.
