Transformation

CaitEva

Layers revealed to me
Leaves me less afraid of the dark
The blood congeals the wound
It transforms, it leaves a mark
Silver and golden specks
I inspect it from finish to start
Once swam on a blood river
On a heavy archaic ark
Filled with skeletons to throw to the sharks
I've changed form
The ark is gone
The blood has dried up
The pain is no longer prolonged
I write poetry on a cloud
It rains with information
My ideas move about
They don't stay stationed
I don't have to shout anymore
To explain what I'm all about
Acceptance is within thee
Not seeking it from without
