Knocking On
I am old now
And my health is nothing like
It used to be
But if given only half a chance
I would fuck you again
Like it was only yesterday
Now I am old
I feel outside and distant
Further than remote even
But, for some strange reason
It feels
Like it should be autumn
I am old
And recognise it is almost time
To go,
In fact, it may be best to leave right now
While the path is still clear and before
The snow bites deep
Yes, I am old
But once had a life
And a tiny little bit of you
Now gone
Today tho' I have nothing left to lose
But pride and what might be left of dignity …

- Comment from author about the poem: if only those over the age of eight or nine years these days to use the F word regularly & worse were few .. I would be far happier ticking the mature 18 year old box up there .. Oh well.. N :)

Fido's barking like mad now - at me!
He said - don't translate this. lol.
Notice the square brackets separating each expletive!
funny that.. I thought we had sedated him ... but a big thank you for trying 🙂
I believe I will be here for as long as needed, every now and then I day good bye in my head! For in the blink of an eye, you'll be fucking dead!
No regrets, if do it all again. Maybe just learn my this less quicker!
Fantastic vibes my skipper, no matter what!
I'm glad I (sort of) met ya!
See you on the next ride 😉
You bet... Cheers 🙂
No need for filters, we know how you feel. "Rejection" seems to be the call of the day. "Old" is a matter of taste, like in "old" wine, or sight like in how you see things, or sound as in what you listen to, or touch, like in "That feels good!." So, keep your dignity and pride, muddle through, and perhaps another bit of fluff, will blow your way. You're always as young as you want to be. - Phil A.
.................... Oh' but were it true .. thanks tho Phil regardless ...

Hi Neville,
A powerful good 👍 write.
Age is in the mind.
My father is 81 he thinks he's much younger than that.
Keep him safe and protected during lockdown has been a challenge.
Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.
