AS PLENTIFUL & PROLIFIC AS EVER ~ AMEN

When ever I see one I have ter
Laff & smile for quite a while

Maybe its their EYES - theyre such a size
Stuck in their face - like two mince pies
Unlike the LARK they can see in the dark

They can turn it through THREE SIXTY
degrees ~With EASE if you PLEASE !

When they leave the ground - dont make a sound

Tis the beautiful blackbird
receives my praise
for the sweetest evensong
at the ends of my days
....
After toiling in fields
i step down from the stirrup
and relax with a cuppa
to this songbirds sweet chirrup
....
whilst others of feather
have flown home in their bed
our sweet native blackbird
brings peace to my head
....
no fanciful plumage
nor mating games dance
but no other composes
such songbird romance
....
dusk arising loves the
blackbird evensong

THE MAGPIE A BLACK & WHITE BEAUTY ~ BRIAN

NATURE has a lot of FUN with COLOUR
BLACK & WHITE a contrast like no other
Pandas # Penguins # Zebras all appeal to me
But in my own Garden # MAGPIES I do see !
Not everybody likes them # say that they steal jewels
They shouldnt leave their rings about like fools !
Magpies in my Garden bring good luck to me
Granpa says they remind Him of Black & White TV

At first things were really quite slow
wasn't sure which way things would go
She'd flitter then flutter
a right bleedin nutter
who once was my favourite old crow

I love SWANS they are also so so Regal
Elegant in flight & on the LAKE
They glide while swimming & in flight
For me - Two Swans - do a Summer MAKE !

The CYGNETS (Baby Swans) are musty BROWN
Cited as Ugly Ducklings in the SONG
Saw some Cygnets @ Dedham - with their MUM & DAD
They looked lovely ! So the SONG is WRONG !

Swans in flight - A beautiful sight
Never forgotten - once seen
A Bird whose plumage is shining bright
Fit to be called a KING or a QUEEN

I always love to see Birds in the SKY
The feathers of SWANS - make a wonderful Quill
Swan flying formation ? They make me SIGH !

My faviorite bird,
may be a Cardinal,
because they are so rare.
... or a Bluejay,
in my backyard,
with it's blue hair.
I also think that buzzards,
look pretty neat,
as their wings sore,
their eyes slicked back,
and a golden hooked beek.
I love watching birds.
I even have a book.
Everytime I take,
my binoculars,
I hope for a look.

I LOVE GEESE FLYING IN FORMATION ~ ANGELA

I love to see dozens of GEESE ~ Flying in
V formation like the RED ARROWS AEROBATIC!
TEAM ! The front GEESE need more energy so
They chahge places as they Fly to share load.
I love thhe song they sing HONK HONK HONK !
You not only SEE then you also hear them !
When we feed them down by the Lake they
Are quite agressive and chase away the
DUCKS & COOTS but not the big SWANS !
Always a PECKING order with BIRDS !

sWALLOWS are so graceful
In flight & out of flight
By day or night they are
Such an Avian delight !

Under our Eaves
& our new Home ~ thru Swallows
A BLESSING receives

SMOKEY is our CAT ~ all the

He teases them & pleases them
BUT NEVER MAKES A SNATCH

Five metre Board in the camp fire Hollow
With head held high & Arms outstreched
Id imitate a Gliding SWALLOW !
